A Day in the Life of the Nuns

We gather six times each day to sing The Liturgy of the Hours (in English according to simplified Gregorian chant melodies) and for the daily Eucharist.
Mother Mary Anne  works on a project in the new Prioress' Office.
Sr. Maria in the monastic library looks up information for her Novitiate classes.  Sr. Maria is the Novice Mistress and meets with the women in formation for classes on various aspects of monastic life, its theology, history, prayer and the daily living of monastic life.
Sister Mary Therese plays organ for retreatants in Fatima Chapel.
Sister Mary Clare checks information on the computer in the office.
Sr. Gaudentia sets the tables in our monastic refectory.  Our meals are "formal" with silence at breakfast and table reading during the noon and evening meals.
Sr. Carolyn prepares lunch for the community in the monastery kitchen.
Our main cook for the retreatants, Sr. Franziska, fries scrambled eggs for breakfast.
Angela (left) and Sandra serve coffee to the retreatants in the dining room.
Sr. Renata has charge of the retreat dining room.  After meals, it's clean up time!
Sr. Maria prays her rosary in the Cor Jesu Monastic Chapel.
Sr. Paula assists Sr. Boniface to chapel.
Laura offers holy water to Sisters as they process into chapel for Vespers.
Sr. Pancratia, Sr. Wiltrud and Sr. Corona enjoy the fountain and flowers during recreation.
Each evening after Compline we process to the Marian devotional area in our chapel and sing the traditional hymn to Mary according to the liturgical season at the end of Compline.
